For the Caprese Salad:

  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese fresh, sliced
  • a few basil leaves
  • 2 red tomato thick slices

For the Blood Orange Vinaigrette:

  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper freshly milled

  • Prepare the ingredients.

  • In a mixing bowl, add the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and drizzle the orange juice. Whisk the ingredients for a minute.

How to assemble the Easy Caprese Salad:

  • On a platter, arrange one slice of mozzarella and alternate it with a slice of tomato. Repeat this step. Garnish with basil leaves and drizzle the orange vinaigrette. Optionally, glaze with some balsamic vinegar. Serve at room temperature.
